What do I need to check before I hire?

Access – often on sites you will find that access is restricted. Make sure you know the minimum width and height of the route you wish to use. Many of our diggers have variable track widths to help get through narrow gaps.

Job Type – getting the right type of machine for the job is important. You need to work out how deep you need to dig as this will help determine the size of digger you need.

What do I need to check before I dig?

It is important that you check for any sign of underground services. This can be drainage, gas, electricity, telephone or anything that could be damaged by a digger.

Who is responsible for the machine?

You are responsible for any damage to, or the theft of any machine on hire to you. It is often possible for you to put the machine on your household insurance for the period of hire, but you will need to speak to your insurer for more information.

I haven’t driven one before is this a problem?

No, we will make sure to explain all the controls and the safe operation of the machine when we deliver it.
